Montana’s Big Sky is an extremely popular ski resort for snowboarders. First off, it offers thousands of acres of terrain for snowboarders to enjoy. There are two mountains found at Big Sky: Lone and Andesite Mountain. On these peaks, you’ll find plenty of snow as well as steep cliffs that can challenge expert snowboarders. Lone Mountain is a particularly appealing to all mountain riders in lieu of freestylers since it lacks a half pipe.

You’ll find several ski resorts in Lake Tahoe, California that has wonderful mountains for snowboarders. In particular, Kirkwood has plenty to offer freestylers that want to show off their moves. Kirkwood has wide open bowls and death defying drops.

For a double black diamond challenge, check out the Snowbird in Utah. This mountain has the highest altitude of any other peak in all of Utah. The peak rises over 11,000 feet and offers one of the greatest adventures to snowboarders in all of North America. Snowbird also recently added a Superpipe to appeal to freestyle riders.

Sugerloaf Mountain in Maine is an amazing resort that snowboarders can enjoy into the spring months. Their snowboard park has multiple areas for jumps and rails.

Colorado has multiple mountains that can provide an amazing time for snowboarders, but one of the best is Crested Butte. This area has some of the best all mountain riding in all of North America. Average snowfall reaches almost 300 inches and the summit measures 12, 162 feet. Snowboarders should arrive early in order to enjoy the fresh morning snow.
