Resort Profile- Crested Butte
Crested Butte is one of Colorado’s most diverse ski and snowboard destinations. The challenging terrain draws some of the top skiers and snowboarders in the nation. There are also plenty of wide-open runs and long cruises for those who do not want to test their metal against the steepest slopes in the Rockies.
The long DC Canaan Terrain Park draws advanced snowboarders while a kids’ park keeps novices and young riders entertained with a collection of mini-rails, jumps and a quarter pipe.
The North Face offers some of the most extreme skiing in the country. The resort’s backcountry guides will take you outside of the standard ski area. Whether you are looking for steep runs high on the mountain or untouched powder at lower altitudes, you will find it at Crested Butte.
The diversity of Crested Butte isn’t confined to the slopes. There are more than 30 bars and a plethora of restaurants serving everything from sushi to home cooked comfort food.
A huge lodge at Mountaineer Square offers seven different types of rooms, from standard hotel rooms to four-bedroom suites with four baths. The nearby Mountaineer Square Plaza features restaurants and shops as well as easy access to the lifts.
